Not very much is known about the origins of the Smuggler's Alliance. It has been said that a man by the name of Hasri Starfire was involved in the founding of this group. It was small and stayed mostly under the radar. A few loyal members doing what it took to get by. With a few contact here and there Hasri was able to make it a profitable organization while still keeping its place in the shadows to not draw too much attention from the eyes of the powers that be, who would want any business of this kind shut down immediately.
They dealt mostly in moving arms for people who didn't want to be known, smuggling small cargo across the vast galaxy away from prying eyes. As the business grew more, Starfire brought in a trusted pilot who had proven his worth. A Corellian named Tarvonie Northwind worked his way up the ladder of success to become a lead member of the Alliance. He took on more and more of the leadership as Hasri became busier with other projects. Eventually Hasri became to busy to be able to handle all the coordination that the Alliance needed to maintain its business. Tarvonie stepped up and lead the group through some tough times and was able to maintain the business side and make it profitable for his pilots.
The SA was growing once more. Tarvonie was able to bring in new recruits and assemble a new management team. Of these recruits emerged Ganner Groundrunner. He is believed to be the current second in command to Tarvonie to this day. Also a brash pilot by the name of Duncan Macleod, and the Zabrak Xander Artanax seem to round out the upper rungs of the Alliance ladder.
These, of course, are all bits and pieces of information that have been pieced together from rumors and stories spread from pilots and politicians alike. Who knows if any of it is true? But from every legend begins with a grain of truth. We know for a fact that this group must exist, and we believe strongly that these are the men responsible for it all.
